Description
Studying the property of quark-gluon plasma and its implication to the Big Bang model of cosmology has been the focal point of research in the field of relativistic heavy ion collisions over the past three decades. The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory started taking data in 2000. The PHENIX Collaboration at RHIC has carried out a comprehensive study of particle production that includes baseline measurement in p+p collisions, and the measurement from d+Au, Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at multiple energies. This talk will focus on the most recent and exciting results from PHENIX.
