Radford University is off Exit 109 of Interstate 81 (Google map).

Lodging:
A block of hotel rooms at a reduced rate of $102 + 12.3% tax (for both 1 King and 2 Queen rooms) is available for the night of Friday, April 1, 2022 at Tru by Hilton Radford (Google map), just off exit 109 on I-81, a 7-minute drive to and from the Radford University Campus. The same rate will be applied to consecutive nights, subject to availability.
To make a reservation, please use this link, or call the hotel direct at 844-201-3708 or 540-744-1400 and mention the group code CSAAPT. Reservations require a 1-night + tax deposit on a major credit card. Cancellations must be at least 48 hours prior to arrival to have this deposit refunded.
The room block will be released after Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Lodging Support:
We have limited funds to support the travel of high school teachers who are currently teaching physics. The support with be $100, provided you attend the meeting in-person and stay overnight at the conference hotel above. If you are selected to receive this support, you must provide a copy of your hotel receipt, and a check will be mailed to you after the Meeting.
To apply, you must check the appropriate checkbox in the registration form at the time of registration.
In selecting the recipients, preference will be given to attendees who must travel longer distances to reach Radford, and to those who are presenting a talk or demo.
Please note that:
- You must be currently teaching physics at a high school in DC, DE, MD, or VA to receive this support. You will be requested to show your school ID at the Meeting as proof of employment.
- The application deadline has been extended until midnight of Friday, March 25, 2022. The first batch of notifications of acceptance will be sent out on Saturday, February 26, 2022 so that you can make hotel reservations before the block-release date on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Subsequent notifications will be sent out every Saturday, but these will be after the block-release date.
- Please do not inquire the hotel about this support. If you are selected, please pay the hotel for your lodging, send us a copy of your detailed hotel receipt, and wait for the check to be mailed to you later.
- Please retain your detailed hotel receipt. We cannot provide the support without it.
