Welcome to the Society of Physics Students Zone 4 Meeting at the University of Virginia (UVA) on Saturday, April 1st. The SPS Zone 4 Meeting is a gathering of undergraduate physics students from colleges and universities in Virginia, Maryland, and beyond while providing a fantastic opportunity to network with peers and gain valuable insights into the field. In addition, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first-ever SPS Formal on Saturday evening, following the main events on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.
Housing will be provided to attendees on Saturday night after the formal. There is a registration fee of $10 to help cover the cost of the event, which you can pay via Venmo (@uvasps) after registering.
Once registered, you will have access to a range of activities, including talks on Careers in Physics and a Panel on Women in Physics, as well as a poster session with prizes. Register for the poster session below by clicking "submit new abstract".
Additionally, we plan to hold simultaneous Zoom Sessions for the primary events to provide more access to the event. Stay tuned for more info.
Please RSVP ASAP to let us know if you plan to attend so we can finalize the housing and catering details. SPS Presidents, please forward this information to your chapter members and encourage them to attend!
