This is an online conference describing recent developments in Gauged Linear Sigma Models (GLSMs), from both physics and mathematics perspectives.  Since their early development, they have played an outsized role in string compactifications, and over the last fifteen years in particular, we have seen developments in understanding how geometry arises both perturbatively and non-perturbatively, phase transitions via homological projective duality, mathematically rigorous definitions, (0,2) theories, application of susy localization, and most recently, developments in 3d GLSMs including applications to quantum K theory.  This conference will cover recent developments.

Speakers will include

  • Louise Anderson (Stanford)
  • Ilka Brunner (Munich)
  • Mykola Dedushenko (Stony Brook) (*)
  • Tudor Dimofte (UC Davis)
  • David Favero (Edmonton)
  • Sebastian Franco (CUNY)
  • Kentaro Hori (IPMU)
  • Hans Jockers (Bonn)
  • Bumsig Kim (KIAS)
  • Alexander Kuznetsov (Steklov Math. Institute, NRU HSE)
  • Seung-Joo Lee (IBS-CTPU Daejeon)
  • Mauricio Romo (Tsinghua)
  • Yongbin Ruan (IAS Math Zhejiang)
  • Fabian Ruehle (CERN)
  • Sakura Schafer-Nameki (Oxford)
  • Piljin Yi (KIAS)

(*) to be confirmed.

We ask that anyone who wishes to participate register in advance (use the registration link on this website).  We will send out zoom links a few days before the conference begins to all registered participants.

To be reasonably democratic amongst time zones, talks will be organized into three daily sessions, typically of two hours apiece, spread out amongst the day (4-6 am, 11-1 pm, and 7-9 pm US eastern).  Video will be recorded and posted, so that people in a time zone for which a given talk is at a bad time, will still be able to watch it within a day.

Code of conduct:  This event is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, religion or lack thereof. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form in any event venue, including any online media.  Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event.
